Who We Are

Look, I'm not gonna feed you some corporate line about "transformation journeys" or whatever. We started this place because commercial gyms weren't cutting it. Too much posing, not enough actual work.

Zephyr Lith Stronghold came together in 2019 when a few of us coaches got tired of watching people waste time on machines that don't translate to real life. We wanted something raw, something that'd push athletes and everyday folks alike to discover what they're actually capable of.

We're about functional strength - the kind that helps you move better, perform better, and feel stronger in your day-to-day. Whether you're prepping for competition or just want to haul groceries without your back giving out, we've got your blueprint.

Our Journey

From basement barbell club to Vancouver's toughest training ground

2019

The Beginning

Started in a 1,200 sq ft warehouse with 8 members and a dream. Just barbells, kettlebells, and people ready to work.

2020

Pandemic Pivot

When gyms shut down, we took training outdoors. Built a whole outdoor rig and kept our crew moving through the toughest year.

2021

Expansion

Moved to Granville Street. Tripled our space, added Olympic platforms, and brought in three more coaches. Membership hit 150.

2023

Competition Debut

Hosted our first Stronghold Challenge. 80 athletes, 3 divisions. Became an annual tradition and one of BC's toughest competitions.

2025

Today

Over 300 members strong. Added nutrition coaching, performance testing lab, and recovery suite. Still the same hard-nosed approach.

15 years coaching Olympic lifting and strength sports. Used to train national-level athletes before opening the Stronghold. No BS, just results.

Performance Coach

Former college track athlete turned powerlifter. Specializes in getting folks unstuck when they hit plateaus. Tough but fair.

Runs our metabolic conditioning classes. Ex-military, so yeah, he'll push you. But you'll leave every session knowing you earned it.
